Effective Immediately – March 12, 2020

Grace and Blessings Antioch Baptist Church Family!

As many of you are currently aware, COVID-19 (Coronavirus), is a world-wide pandemic that has directly and indirectly impacted those of us in Cuyahoga County. Antioch Baptist Church seeks to be proactive in mitigating exposure and spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in our congregation and community. In an effort to inform our congregation and community of our efforts to ensure the safety and security of our church family, we have taken a few steps. After consultation with the Governor’s office, medical personnel, and our church leadership, we have prayerfully decided the following to go in effect through the end of March:
  • Worship Service Sunday, March 15, 2020 is CANCELED, Weddings, and Funerals will go on as planned,
  • Lenten Services are CANCELED,
  • Sunday School will meet jointly in the Sanctuary, when Church is in session.
  • All meetings are CANCELED and should be scheduled as tele-conference meetings.,
  • Our staff is engaged in daily sanitization of the facility,
  • Loaves and Fishes will continue to be served using “to-go” meals,
  • Choir rehearsals, mid-week services, All afternoon/evening ministry activities are in recess until further notice.

What Can You Do?
Pray for our world, our leaders, and health professionals, as well as our most vulnerable brothers and sisters.
Share this information with your family and friends. Continue to attend worship services if you are healthy and able to attend. Continue to regularly support Antioch financially so that we can continue to serve our congregation and community.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
— Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
Sincerely,
Rev. Dr. Todd C. Davidson, Senior Pastor

What We Believe

Antioch Baptist Church affiliates with the American Baptist Churches USA, a body with 1.3 million members and more than 5,200 congregations. As American Baptists, Antioch firmly believes:

  • Jesus Christ is Our Redeemer and our Lord.Through belief in Him, we are assured of eternal fellowship with a loving God.
  • The foundation of Christian belief is the drama of the first Easter week. The greatest event in history was the death of Christ, in which he took upon Himself all the sins of the world and his Resurrection, which offers glorious proof of his triumph over sin and death.
  • Holy Scripture is the most authoritative guide to knowing and serving the triune God: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As the divinely inspired word of God, the Bible reveals our faith in its mandated practices

You’re So Blessed to Be Able To Give

So many think of tithing as an obligation. In fact, it’s an opportunity to share your abundance and demonstrate your faith. Of course your money offsets the practical needs of the church, such as utilities and salaries. But those dollars flow into the community through our outreach ministries.

Enlist in Our 100% Tithing Army

It’s easy to join, and there’s no boot camp. You may make contributions in three different ways to support the general operation and ministries of the church:
  • Tithe: A sacrificial contribution of 10% of your net or gross income each pay to support the general fund of the church.
  • Offering: A sacrificial contribution which is less than 10% of your income to support the general fund of the church.
  • In Memory Of: A sacrificial contribution in the name of the deceased to support the general fund of the church.
