OUR MINISTRIES

The Outreach Ministry serves the Fairfax Neighborhood–and Greater Cleveland–through advocacy, education, and programs.

Outreach Ministry

Antioch Baptist Church of Cleveland | Loaves and Fishes Ministry

Loaves and Fishes

  • The Loaves and Fishes program seeks, through faith and works, to increase the self-sufficiency of our neighbors in underserved areas of Cleveland through advocacy, education, and linkage to resources. As a part of this program, Loaves and Fishes serves the local neighborhood every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with hot meals, providing nearly 500 meals per month.

  • During the pandemic, the Loaves and Fishes program also expanded with a community valet service that hand-delivers freshly cooked meals and desserts to those in need, serving more than 125 meals weekly. In addition, we hand out newspapers and flyers on election issues and other community issues every week. In addition to food and information, we also provide necessary items, including hygiene kits, socks, and scarves.

  • Community Neighbors are served every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 11 a.m. until food runs out.

Social Justice Action

  • The Social Justice Action Ministry's motto is to be Aware, Informed, Engaged, and to take Action. Consistent with our mission, the Ministry partners with Greater Cleveland Congregations (GCC) to maximize our outreach and impact in the community.

  • In partnership with Greater Cleveland Congregations, the Social Justice Action Ministry coordinates support for GCCs core issues of criminal justice reform, healthcare equity, and gun safety–in addition to voting rights and election issues.

  • This ministry meets at various times in support of the justice issues at-hand.
