COMMUNITY GARDEN: The Antioch Women’s Ministry will be maintaining a plot of urban community gardening at Greenbridge Commons, 7515 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. We are looking for a few people who enjoy gardening and would like to volunteer some time once or twice a week. If you are interested in participating in this effort, please contact Sis. MAGAZINE DONATION: If you are looking for a way to get rid of your Time, Sports Illustrated or People magazines (one month old or less, please), the Oriana House would appreciate receiving them. Donations can be left in the bin marked in the McMickle Chapel.
READER EYEGLASSES NEED: The Antioch Prison Ministry is collecting reader eyeglasses for incarcerated men and women. Please donate your usable reader glasses ( no
broken parts ), or, you may want to purchase glasses from the Dollar Tree, Marc’s or from any drugstore. Please put the eyeglasses in the marked bin in the McMickle Chapel.
BOOKS FOR CHILDREN: Antioch family, the members of the Silver Leaf Club is in need of your help in donating new or gently used books for children ages 6 mos. – 16 yrs. We have adopted the After School and Summer programs of the Fatima Family Center (6600 Lexington Avenue, Cleveland). A list of books to help with your purchasing selections will be placed at each entrance/exit of the church, or ask any usher. You may leave your books in Branch Hall by the stage area. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: Applications are available for the following scholarships: 1) Nancy Stewart Scholarship for entering college freshmen, 2) Rosabelle Sellers Scholarship for college sophomores through seniors who have graduated from high school within the past five years, and 3) the Antioch Education Incentive Award for graduating high school seniors. The application period for the scholarship program is April 14 to May 26, 2013. Applications are available from the document distribution center located outside the church secretary’s office. 2013 SUMMER ROOKIE LEAGUE BASEBALL SEASON BEGINS! Antioch and Fairfax Recreation Center are recruiting boys and girls, ages 7 – 12, for the 2013 Summer Rookie League Baseball season. MAY 22nd APPLEBEE’S DINING TO DONATE” FUNDRAISER: The Antioch Gulf Coast Mission Team invites our Antioch Family and Friends to participate in their "Applebee's Dining to Donate" fundraiser on Wednesday, May 22nd at a time that is convenient between 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 14020 Cedar Road, University Heights, OH. We will receive 15% for every meal that is purchased on this date. Please invite your family and friends to participate. The more diners participating our profit will be greater.
Special purple flyers are available for you to give to your family members and friends and are located in the McMickle Chapel, Document Center area under “Antioch Activities” heading. Each person dining must have a flyer. Mission Team members will give you as many flyers as you need. MAY 24th FUNDRAISER -- PIZZA HUT: On Friday, May 24th, the following locations will be participating in the fundraiser: 1) Pizza Hut at Church Square Plaza, East 79th & Euclid Avenue and 2) Pizza Hut at Chagrin & Lee Road (16800 Chagrin Boulevard, Shaker Heights, OH). Bro. Arthur Childress, Jr. will be at the Church Square location from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. distributing the necessary flyers to the general public and organizations. For every purchase made, a percentage from the sales will come to the church. This fundraiser is sponsored by the Antioch Board of Trustees and will benefit the Gulf Coast Mission Team.

JUNE 2nd NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVORS DAY: Antioch Walkers and Those Affected by All Cancers: Please join the Antioch Team on Sunday, June 2nd “National Cancer Survivors Day” at Beachwood Place to participate in the “Race for the Place.” There are 1K and 5K walks for all interested parties. We have had teams from Antioch for the past three years to participate.
