Friday, March 24th, 6:00 p.m. in Branch Hall.  The Antioch Book Club hosts a screening of the Oscar nominated documentary "13th."
Centered on race in the U.S. criminal justice system, the film is titled after the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which outlawed slavery (unless as punishment for a crime). The film argues that slavery is being effectively perpetuated through mass incarceration. (The film runs for 1hr. 40 mins. and is rated TV-MA.) Following the screening there will be a guided discussion including panelists and audience members. Light refreshments provided. FREE and open to the Antioch family and public.
